Island Updates

The City of Alameda shared an update about the Harbor Bay Landing project to clear up confusion. Right now, it’s only an early idea from a developer, not an approved plan. City staff also talked with Safeway to help make sure a grocery store stays there. Read more

A new store called Neptune Market just opened where Bonfare Market used to be at 650 Central Ave. It’s run by Jagdeep Singh and his son Prabh, and they sell things like groceries, drinks, and snacks. They plan to add fresh fruits, veggies, and hot food soon, and are asking customers what they’d like to see in the store. Read more

Looking for the best Pumpkin Spice Latte

I’m currently on my journey to find the best pumpkin spice latte on the island.

So far, my favorite has been Lazybird Coffee.

Their pumpkin cold foam…it’s unbelievable.

So if there is a pumpkin spice latte you’ve tried on the island and think it’s worth trying, reply to this email and let me know!

I’ll be posting the spots I check out on Instagram.
